All Things Go – Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

This post has been a long time coming. As you loyal readers may have noticed, we have upped our posting to healthy levels over the past month, averaging a little over a post a day. Adrian and I have realized that this is our passion, and we really want to make sure we continue to push forward and make ATG better and better. With that in mind, we have decided to overhaul the site, remodeling everything to make it more streamlined and interactive. Basically, we want All Things Go to be taken to the next level. Since this is a music blog, and we value our readers’ insight, we wanted you all to be a part of the process. Tell us what you would like to see. More mixtapes? New color scheme? More dedicated posts? Contests? Concert Reviews? We can’t improve without your insight.

In addition to the remodeling, we will move to our own domain, which we have yet to decide on, but http://www.allthingsgo.wordpress.com will still work for all you RSS subscribers.

One thing that Adrian and I have discussed is that we wish people would comment more. Without your comments, we don’t know what’s working for all of you, and what isn’t. In addition, comments boost our egos, and help us want to post more. Without it, we feel like people just come, steal the jam, and don’t even read our beautifully crafted pieces posts.

Ok so, with all of that being said, please leave more comments letting us know what you like or don’t like, and PLEASE shoot us an email at allthingsgoblog@gmail.com telling us what you think we can do to make ATG better.

ALSO, if you aren’t already, please FOLLOW US ON TWITTER.

Love,
Zack & Adrian

PS: We may be looking for a few more dedicated writers. It’s not paid (obviously) but it’s a fun experience to share your thoughts on music with an audience in the millions tens of thousands thousands. Send us some writing samples at allthingsgoblog@gmail.com along with a brief bio if you’re interested.

    awesome!

  2. Laura says:

I for one love the mix tapes. They sucked me in, and now I’m a regular reader. I just tend to RSS it, so I rarely comment.

  3. Renny says:

I too was brought in by the mix tapes. I’m glad you guys are pumping out more posts. Keep it up, you guys are great and rep the DC area well

  4. Shannon says:

I like the mixtapes too. I really enjoy the posts dedicated to one or two songs the most. I will try to comment more often. Thanks for all of the new music! 🙂

  5. Ross says:

I’ll be the first to admit, ATG is my first destination when I’m looking for good new music. That’s right, before Pitchfork, The Hype Machine, etc etc etc. Very excited for the new site upgrades

  6. Kathrina says:

You silly geese! We surely read your posts.

    I love your new music.
What I love about you guys is that you give an introduction and a little piece on why you’re posting this particular song (memory, etc).

I really love your mixtapes. Keep doing that. I don’t want to rush you guys – quality over quantity. So, don’t keep chugging mixes until you’re certain you guys are at peace with them.

I also love the fact that you guys just don’t post new, “indie” music. I would like an eclectic range (like jazz?). Ever thought of also posting stuff from the 1960 – 2010? JUST A SUGGESTION! 😀

And one more suggestion: if you have time, it’d be SO COOL if you did a podcast. Like indiefeed :DDD

But even if you don’t do any of my suggestions, I still think you are the COOLEST guys ever. And, I’d love to write for this blog, but I can’t seem to top your tastes.

I love your mixtapes!! you guys are awesome! keep doing what you’re doing

If you’re into Phoenix, Passion Pit, Arctic Monkeys, etc – you really need to give Two Door Cinema Club a listen. They’ve been exploding recently! Even on Jimmy Kimmel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0faI5xRknTE) – check them out: http://twodoorcinemaclub.com

  9. Kath says:

I was also thinking maybe you guys should make a survey on what genres the readers would like to explore more?

  10. Kaori says:

well, see: thing is, that its kinda useless to ask what music genres we would like to read about since the main reason to read atg is basically your taste and dedication to the music you’re actually into. its fun to read a text written by someone whose motivation is to spread the word about that killer tune you recently stumbled upon. otherwise all i would need was pitchfork. so keep in mind that your strength is to transfer the fun you have all around the globe with just a few words.

and about the search for dedicaded writers: how about some “write a review” button somewhere on the page? you could still choose to not publish the text but it would give atg the push to “taken to the next level”
and also gives your readers the opportunity “to be a part of the process.”

plus it would enhance the diversity of musical styles. i guess that quite a lot of your readers are located outside the u.s. (i for instance am german and might know stuff you wouldnt hear in ages) so it might actually work out well.

    think about it.

oh, and thank you for… mh.. pretty much everything. really. thank you!

oh, and give modular peoples “ceo” a listen. “white magic” should be out soon and a friend of a friend of a friend has a leak and…. its kinda awesome
