I’ve been on a music-listening tear recently, and throughout it all, there are a few bands and songs that I keep coming back to. For the next week or so, I’m going to be sharing those with you, starting with Manchester-based Delphic, the quartet that placed third on the BBC’s Sound of 2010 list. “Doubt,” my favorite single off their 2010 debut, Acolyte, is a downright jam, worthy of prettier prose than I could think to construct. I hear a little Bloc Party in the sound, which naturally gets me quite excited. Listen below, and try to go a whole 24 hours without singing “Dooouuuuuuubbbttt.” I couldn’t do it.
