Too Many Lights Out, But Nowhere Near Here

Here’s another one courtesy of my man Jack over at DadetoDane, who has been consistently pumping out danceable jams for a few months now.

Stuart Price, who goes under the moniker Thin White Duke, has been producing and remixing jams since the last millennium, producing for artists like Madonna and No Doubt, and creating remixes for songs from my favorite artists, such as Friendly Fires and Justice. He absolutely killed it with his remix of Royksopp’s “What Else is There?” which was a beautiful song to begin with, but was a bit too ominous and slow for me. The Thin White Duke remix adds some flair, and Price manages to make the perfect end of night, chill out and reflect on a wild party type song. This description sucks, just go listen to the damn song.

For good measure, here’s his remix of Friendly Fire’s “Jump in the Pool,” another perfect end of night song.

Friendly Fires will be playing at the SMS festival in Croatia this September! It’s going to be great! Other acts include Nathan Fake, Carl Craig, Radioclit, Optimo, Theo Parrish and Girlcore. Check it out at http://sms-2010.com/

The intro to the friendly fires remix sounds a lot like the ‘ready 2 wear’ intro by felix.
