You You You You You You You You You You You

At the moment, I’m completely overwhelmed by new music. The albums include the newest efforts from Blitzen Trapper, Kate Nash, Crystal Castles, Band of Horses, B.o.B, Robyn, and my two favorites; The National and The New Pornographers. Most have incomplete grades at the moment, but the aforementioned favorites, as well as the new Kate Nash, stick out so far. That’s not what this post it about, however.

This post is really just thrown together as an excuse to share “You,” the fuzzy and addicting new single from Essex-based producer/remixer Gold Panda. The song quickly grows on you, from the densely layered yet intensely simple instrumentation to the seemingly annoying chorus of “you’s” to its overall summery vibe. “You” is the refreshing artist’s best effort yet, and should set him up nicely for a debut full-length coming soon.

MP3: Gold Panda – “You” [track removed at artist’s request. You can stream the whole EP over at SoundCloud.
