First off: HURRAY! With Derek’s help, I finally figured out how to use our hosting! No more indirect linkage! HURRAY! Moving on.
I hope everyone remembers Sebastian Tellier, the awesome french DJ who gave us the instrumental masterpiece of 2006, “La Ritournelle” (which Derek would marry if it was a human, and not a song). “La Ritournelle” was featured on the ATG Instrumental Mixtape, and was a brilliantly crafted track, complete with simple, soothing baseline, strings, and ethereal piano chords that constantly crescendo and decrescendo. The song is one of the ultimate study songs, and is truly timeless and accessible. Telliers newest single, “Sexual Sportswear” moves away from the “La Ritournelle” sound. While both are longer songs that build slowly (“Sportwear” clocks in at exactly eight minutes) the dancy, electronic goodness of “Sportwear” sounds much more Kavinsky-eque than his older stuff. While the LP drops in January 2008, this single will hold you over until then, and is recommended for lovers of Kavinsky, SebastiAn, etc. This single officially drops October 16th, and I forgot to mention that it’s produced by Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Awh yeah.

That one song not enough to hold you over until January? Me either. Apparently, Tellier thought so too, so he recruited SebastiAn to work his magic on the song. Needless to say, the results are phenomenal. Follow the link below to download it over at GWFAS.

Still not enough? Then check out this yet untitled new SebastiAn song that I picked up from the fine folks at Discobelle and is all different kinds of awesome.
To top it off, my cousin just gave birth to her second son. His name? Sebastian.
