Summer in the City + All My Friends EP

So I’m back from my brother’s graduation from University of Vermont and am home in Chocolate City for the rest of the summer. I can’t wait for 98 degree weather with 100% humidity and a car that has no air conditioning (and in fact actually shoots out heat perpetually). Still, I’m ecstatic to be home.

I put up the LCD Soundsystem masterpiece “All My Friends” last week, and I just picked up a copy of the All My Friends EP, which features Franz Ferdinand and John Cale covers of the very same song. The John Cale version is a little more true to the original, while the Franz version features their trademark fast-paced guitars and Alex Kapranos doing his best James Murphy impression.
