Sadface

UPDATE: I’ve been looking around the internets for a different hosting service, but I haven’t found anything affordable. Also, if you haven’t noticed, i just added a “Donate to All Things Go!” button on the side. I understand that you guys are probably about as broke as us, but if you could find it in your heart of hearts to donate something to our cause, the more money we get, the faster we get back on track. You can donate any amount of money, and anything is much appreciated. Keep checking the site for more updates.

Just when I finally start posting regularly, Dreamhost has to go and ruin everyhing. Yep, our hosting was just removed. So if you’d like to see All Things Go continue, let me know if you have any alternative solutions. I’ll also be setting up a donations page for anyone interested in helping to keep the dream alive…

Love,
Management

    😦

why was it revoked? can you not move to a new host, or was it just that the hosting was free or cheap there? could you run banner ads to help defray the cost of keeping the site up? sorry, lots of questions! would love to see the site stay up, have learned so many new bands from you guys, i’d hate to see you go!!!

  5. You could use MediaMax. It’s free, fairly humongous, and while uploading takes a while, well, that might just be on my computer. I promise I’m not advertising; that’s just where I put musique when I need to share it. I’d hate to see All Things Go stop. I mean, this super site is nearly (the exceptions being some of the sites on your blogroll) all I read in my spare time You guys enlightened me in all that is Andrew Bird, who’s now one of my top four beloveds…if that’s not cause to be grateful, then I don’t know what is.

    i am on the case.

I would suggest using 1&1 hosting. I’m not sure what their policy is for hosting copyrighted music, however it’s inexpensive, has good storage & transfer limits.
    http://www.1and1.com/

$3.74/mo for 120 GB space & 1200 GB monthly transfer

  8. iweenie says:

    filexoom.com they offer you 2Gigs I believe.

  9. allthingsgo says:

we used filexoom for a little between between ezarchive and dreamhost, but we need way more than 2GB storage and we need at least 1TB of bandwidth, probably more.

I don’t know if this is helpful, but I use Dreamhost for most of my hosting, but if I think anything is likely to be at all controversial I use Fileden. They are good for storage, user interface and direct linking, but not so great for bandwidth. Probably not helpful, but I thought I’d throw it in there.

have you tried divshare? unlimited bandwidth and storage…it’s not exactly a direct download, but it’s completely free, and no ads either….me likes.
