New Cloud Cult - When Water Comes to Life

Imagine my excitement upon hearing that not only had the first single off of Cloud Cult’s follow up to 2007’s The Meaning of 8 leaked, but the whole album had leaked. It looked a little something like this. Anyways, check out “When Water Comes to Life, and get ready for Feel Good Ghosts (Tea-Partying Through Tornados), which drops April 8th. This song has sort of an Andrew Bird classical type sound to start, but becomes more familiar with Craig Minowa’s uniquely innocent and soothing voice. This song makes Feel Good Ghosts easily my most anticipated album of early 2008.

New Gnarls Barkley - Run

ANOTHER UPDATE: You guys downloaded the song waaaay fast. Since I’m not trying to get shut down here (like I did when I posted “Paper Planes”), stream it or yousendit. Enjoy.

UPDATE: Pitchfork has confirmed the release date as some time in April, and has confirmed that the song was leaked from missionfreak.com. Listen while you can I guess.

Gnarls Barkley! New! Fire up the blogosphere, ladies and gentlemen, the men behind last year’s “Umbrella” are back at it again, with a new cd titled The Odd Couple. Fitting title for Cee-Lo and DJ Dangermouse, two of the weirdest guys in the music biz. While the CD may be new, the sound isn’t, as “Run” features your signature Dangermouse old-school soul samples and Cee-Lo’s unmistakeable soulful squeal. The single has leaked over at Panda Toes (which has done a good job keeping my musical library fresh these days), and it’s not quite “Crazy” but it’ll definitely get some radio play. Not sure about the legality of posting this, so that explains the yousendit rather than our hosting.
